Jennet Thomas - 'Maggie Maggie Maggie Lives!'

Sale Price:£200.00 Original Price:£254.50

Singular digital print on archive paper.

Jennet Thomas is an artist and filmmaker who’s work emerged out of the underground and experimental media club scene in London in the early 1990s. Thomas was a founding member of The Exploding Cinema.

This singular digital print on archive paper is an image from Thomas’ piece The Unspeakable Freedom Device. The full experimental narrative sci-fi film and multimedia sculptural installation explores, through speculative fantasy, the cultural legacy of the Conservative Party conferences that took place in the film’s setting of Winter Gardens, Blackpool.

The work explores the idea of the image of Margaret Thatcher as an after-burn on the collective memory of our culture.

UK postage included in the price listed.
