Convinced they have received messages from their deceased uncle, two cousins, local TV hosts Walter and Poopy, journey into the woods of their sleepy little New England town in search of a mysterious magical rock. A rock which may or may not be the key to their uncle's salvation, stratospheric TV success and a chance at rekindling an old romance. The Horse Hospital is proud to present the third and final entry in a trilogy of films marking the first-ever UK retrospective of plucky underdog auteurs Matt Farley and Charles Roxburgh AKA Motern Media. Magic Spot is a window into the weird and wonderful world of smalltown America: a land of freewheeling troubadours, aspiring poets and travelling lightbulb salesmen. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Actor/Writer/Director/Musician/Podcaster/Basketballer and "Nicest Guy in Showbiz" Matt Farley.
Matt Farley is an American filmmaker and musician, best known for releasing over 25,000 songs under dozens of pseudonyms. His films with Charlie Roxburgh are the subject of the book Motern on Motern by Will Sloan and Justin Decloux.
