Carl and Debs have been running portraiture and art classes in London and Surrey for the last 4 years. Carl Hoare is a contemporary artist, who has won and been shortlisted for some prestigious awards on his creative journey including The Churchill design Award and the Surrey Remembers Prize he has exhibited all over the world from the RCA to The Copro Gallery.
Debs is a practising art therapist, working with children with disabilities in the day, painting surreal post-apocalyptic landscapes by night.
The Horse Hospital has a special place in our hearts, Carl had his first solo show there, ‘Electric Brain’ back in 2006.
The H.H. has always strived to be advocate for the alternative and a safe space to explore complex art pieces. The Horse Hospital is an important space that must be saved, so please donate generously and come along to our fundraising event.
We like to mix up the usual portraiture drawing group by making it a fun and social event, perfect for groups of friends or individuals willing to get to know new people. We find thought provoking models and pick themes that are culturally relevant.
We provide drawing boards, variety grade pencils, colouring pencils and pens, charcoal, chalk, paper, putty rubber and fixative.
Bring your enthusiasm, your own style, your willingness to learn, and the want to have some midweek fun in order to support the Horse Hospital.
