Join us in celebrating the campaign launch of Asset of Community Value, an annual publication exploring notions of community through a creative lens.
ACV stands for “Asset of Community Value”, a term that references the legislation wherein a building or piece of land is nominated for protection and preservation from development — instead being repurposed to benefit the social wellbeing and interests of a local community.
The publication explores the works of grassroots organisations and people who are engaged in community activity, creating something of a living memoir, with the aim to elevate those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to be heard.
The ACV collective will host select readings from the publication and conversations on community activity. During the evening they will also present their independent publishing campaign by People of Print.
Joining the collective will be Sister Midnight, National Food Service, May Project Gardens and We Are Grow & other community organisations and artists featured in issue 01 of the publication which is themed on the subject of ‘Growth’.
